People of all ages love shaved ice. If you’re hosting a get together, there’s no reason that only the kids should get to enjoy shaved ice treats. For the adults, you can offer up shaved ice concoctions with flavored syrups and alcohol poured over top. Just be sure to keep your alcoholic versions separate from the kids’ desserts!

Here are a few delicious and refreshing alcoholic shaved ice recipes that you can try.

APPLETINI THE BLUE HAWAIIAN SPIKED PINK LEMONADE
  • 3 oz Pink Lemonade Syrup
  • 1 oz lemon-lime soda (e.g. Sprite)
  • 3 oz vodka
  • Lemon wedge for garnish
Adult Shave Ice

For each of the recipes above, mix all of the liquids including syrups together. Stir and chill before pouring over a shaved ice cup or cone (or even a martini glass filled with shaved ice). Add the garnish before serving. A quick tip -- taste each recipe before chilling so you can adjust the ratios to your tastes. If a particular recipe is too sweet, try adding more alcohol; if it’s too strongly alcoholic tasting, add more syrup.

Enjoy, and remember to slurp responsibly!!
